Homeland Security heads toward shutdown as House fails to pass 3-week spending bill - The Washington Post

This is a victory for the American taxpayer and middle class. We simply are not going to take it anymore.

It's a victory to shut down the government continuously over partisan ransoms?

Apparently watching the Republican leadership fail is a victory for that poster. When will liberals learn that cheering on Republican failures is not helpful. (snark)

The Guardian, a Supreme Court Justice, NPR and NY Times?

Is that the sound of a head being buried in sand?

To make a long story short, a DHS shutdown would affect very few employees. Looks like about 15%. Since a stay has been ordered on the EO, and since the DHS would keep on running, although slightly shorthanded, do you think the Republicans should stop playing politics and drop the rider to the funding bill?

Blocking EOs that the President has no power to execute is not "playing politics", it is their duty.

Looks like they are grossly failing in that charge.

LOL. American taxpayers won this, at least temporarily. I don't really care if the ol drunkard "failed" or not. This once again proves that Dems care more for the rights and well being of illegals than they do american taxpayers or keeping the DHS funded.

Any particular reason Democrats can`t fund DHS without funding amnesty for millions of illegals?

The Senate Dems ought to be right there shoulder to shoulder with the Republicans in refuting such a move as this EO.
