Nowadays, people are paranoid if a Muslim or middle eastern looking person even MENTIONS a plane. Much more playing flight simulations or actually in school to become a pilot. Almost every American raises an eyebrow over that...
I'm an American... and I'm open minded. STILL I admit.. I met a middle eastern man recently who told me he's in school to become a pilot. I did ask him if he was Muslim afterwards. It, uh.... it's just for precautions.
He wasn't. He's actually Buddhist and lightly, not very religious at all, go figure. Good guy. But nonetheless.. what do you expect? Some amount of suspicion or self-protection is inevitable especially now. I kinda feel sorry for the ones who are genuinely good people; the general population's prejudice and alarm is probably nerve-wracking to them.
