What are people's thoughts out there about Bush going to Jersualem and suggesting that it be split between the Jews and Arabs? Will this really help or only create more problems? I'm beginning to think that the more the Israelis give, the more is wanted. Will it ever end?

I think he risks getting God angry with him (and the USA, by association)...didn't God give that land to the Israelies a long long time ago? I don't believe the fighting and arguement will end until the 1000yr reign of Christ begins...

Is God sitting on the edge of his throne seat waiting to see what bush will do?
Bush's visit comes as a welcome change from the current US administration's tone. Not only did he call on Israel to withdraw from Arab land occupied since 1967, but also broached the possibility of compensation payments to Palastinians. At last, some sense!
Bringing an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land is as much a prerequisite for peace in the Middle East as is the Palestinian recognition of Israel. The Israeli occupation is not only inhuman and the cause of extreme suffering for the 3.5 million Palestinians living under its subjugation, but it is also illegal under international law. Attempts to claim otherwise have no legal validity and are morally bankrupt and politically dangerous since they basically preclude the achievement of peace.
Maybe Bush can do somethin worthwhile in his last year of office.
I believe Jerusalem to be a tipping point to world peace. I'll just keep watching and praying to see God's hand at work in all this. It's an interesting place where three monotheistic religions converge.
This might have been the only time I have ever agreed with Bush. I watched his speech and when he condemned the settlements, I had to call just about everyone I know. The settlements are an embarrassment to Jews and if there is a God worth worshipping, he would not want his people to treat others in such a way.
