The EB-5 (visa for sell) industry is virtually unregulated, it has become a magnet for amateurs, pipe-dreamers, and charlatans, who see it as an easy way to score funding for ventures that banks would never touch.
Exactly. No one wants to talk about IQ anymore, but the fact is, Asians, on average, have an IQ that's 10 points higher than the average Caucasian of European descent. They're also incredibly hard-working and have a drive to succeed.
We need educated, self-disciplined, American-loving, hard-working entrepreneurs here in our country. Badly.
This is a false stereotype. The reason why Asians "appear" to study harder than Americans is that many have to spend more time translating information into their native language to understand it. They spend more time studying just to keep up.
Nothing precludes a China national from private ownership of land outside China. Laws precluding land ownership within China have evolved.
Nothing precludes a foreigner from owning land in the US.
That law really should change. China has well over a billion ppl and could easily overpower US real estate markets as they are currently doing on the West coasts and East coasts.

What do mean by "an easy way to score funding"? From who?

That's probably why so many out perform US students, despite attending the same public schools so many here love to bash.
You are incorrect. Chinese citizens can own property - in China and abroad. So much for your evil commie proxy buyer theory.
And the reason so many Chinese are buying up property in the US, UK, and elsewhere, is that they don't trust their own government. They know that the CCP could decide one day to confiscate their wealth and use it for its own corrupt purposes.

...and then rent it to the illegals
