Everything else in your post is pure rubbish. Israel is a defensive machine, not an offensive one. Their only wish is to live in peace. They are surrounded by hostile Arabs who's goal is to wipe them off the map.

If the Arabs laid down their arms, they'd live in peace. If Israel laid down her arms, she'd be dead.

I'm completely for a peaceful two-state solution. I wish the Palestinians would elect a government that focuses on its own people instead of wasting all its resources on attacking Israel. Look at the years of work and money that was poured into terror tunnels into Israel that was wasted. Look at all the Palestinian leaders who live in Qatar that have robbed Palestine blind. That's money that could have been used to build industry and educate the Palestinians, so that they can build a better future for their children. Gaza is on the sea, they could have hotels and a vibrant tourist industry. Israel would welcome a neighbor like that.

How about you, Scobby. Do you support Israel's right to live in peace like I support the Palestinian right to do the same?

It's a very simple question, Scobby. Yes or no.

Sanders is a true patriot. As far as I'm concerned, he puts America first unlike those who get led around with a ring in their nose that is stamped FOX News.

I suppose you think Noam Chomsky is anti-semitic too for his views on Israel.

Aren't you from the same camp that goes into fits of fury when people say there is racism against blacks in the US?
Chomsky is an interesting character. Reading his work is like having a critic talking to us from Mars and putting all countries on a level playing field.

Bernie Sanders is an independent who tells it like it is.
I have never heard him call for the nationalization of any American company. I've never heard him call for a state directed economy.
Based on the name calling that I've seen on this forum it looks like many of you have been indoctrinated by the corporatist media, and you are fair and balanced into the state of total ignorance. When is the last time some of you have read a book?

Your name calling and one liners are so elegant and well though out it reminds me of someone farting and leaving the room.

And for Gods sake look up the definition of Socialism.

The other issue here is the mastermind behind this move, Israeli Ambassador Ron Dermer. He has been endorsing the re-election of Netanyahu in apparent violation of Israeli law. Civil Service Commissioner Moshe Dyan has stated that “A state employee must be careful that his actions or behavior cannot be interpreted as being aimed at promoting the interest of any particular party or candidate.” Anyone violating these instructions, Dyan said, “will face criminal or disciplinary proceedings in accordance with the law.” I only hope that Dyan will follow through with his threat and attempt to prosecute Dermer to the fullest extent for his actions.

If this wasn't meant as a snub to the president, why didn't Dermer tell Kerry about the plan when they met one day before Boehner announced his invitation? This isn't just about disrespecting Obama, it's about disrespecting the office of President itself.

On Boehner’s whole role is this; The man has become so consumed by party politics that he's now resorted to involving a foreign leader in his own private war against Obama. At this point, it's hard to tell who's using who and what really matters to Boehner aside from winning in a game of political one-upmanship.

Party politics in this country have gotten so out of control (by both sides) one has to wonder just what the end game might be.............total apathy or civil war. Sometimes, I'm convinced it's the later. One thing is for sure - this sure as hell isn't how our Founding Father's vision was meant to be carried out.......and none of this is being done with the interests of the American public in mind.
How many Democrats really care about Israeli politics? How many understand the Israeli Knesset? And most importantly, how many American Democrats truly have awareness of this issue, other than just reciting what CNN says?

While I am sure their is political motivations on both sides, I believe this is no more than a tantrum from the opposition left, that Is worried of Netanyahu being re-elected. He appears to be risking his political career with an Israeli population who is fearful of an Israeli strike on Iran. It appears, the threat of Iran is just that much important than politics and especially the easily hurt American Whitehouse. This speech may break or not break him in Israel if we want to spin some suspense on this.

But seriously, lets not over exacerbate the tensions between Obama and Bibi. When there disagreements pass over, the long term relationship will still be intact.

Default Nearly Two-Thirds of Americans Say Netanyahu Congress Speech is a "Bad Move"

This is going to blow up in Boehner's already scorched face. How Dare he stain the honor of his office as Speaker of the House by bringing a foreign head of state to OUR CAPITOL BUILDING to give a speech against the position of our sitting President. And Good for President Obama for refusing to meet with Netanyahu, and good for the many Jewish Americans planning to protest.

Poll: Nearly 2/3 of Americans say Netanyahu Congress speech a 'bad move' - Diplomacy and Defense - Israel News | Haaretz

Another poll that have been so wrong; so many times. Didn't people learn this last election and other votes than polls are often slanedt by the questions asked. Why would anyone not want to hear another view from a friend is beyond me except for those not wanting it heard at all.

Senator Marco Rubio delivered a powerful message to his constituents about boycotting the speech. This is really worth watching.

I doubt 2/3s of Americans even know who Netanyahu is.

Likely 80 percent of the leeches never heard of him.
