Well, then, he's mooching leech and he should go find a better job instead of expecting others to foot his bill because he's too lazy to work harder and make more money, right? That's what I've been told numerous times here on this forum when I talked about not being able to afford health insurance pre-ACA. So I'm certain you will now say the same thing about this sheriff, right?

No. As a good Christian, They expect you to tithe 1/10th of your gross to the 'Richard Mack Fund to preserve Liberty, adhere to the letter of the constitution, and perhaps pay a few bills. The Constitution, Freedom from Dictatorship and the Chevy Malibu are at stake, so don't delay.

What did he do until the ACA was passed?

Actually, there is always a male involved and I agree that a male who inseminates a female resulting in a pregnancy should be on the hook for his equal share of the maternity care expenses.

This has what to do with a single person who has decided to not have children, women well past child bearing age, aging males with ED, all sorts of infertile individuals and anyone else who isn`t in the game?

I don't think it's like the tax code, where there are exemptions.

If you're a guy, you're part of the process.

Maybe if Obamacare had done ANYTHING to improve even one of the countless problems of our grossly dysfunctional health care system, the Sheriff would have supported it.

It's amazing that Obamacare failed to address ANY of the existing problems with our health care system, despite stealing an ADDITIONAL $1 trillion from the pockets of working class taxpayers in order to pad the profits of the Big Business corporations that priced health care beyond the reach of the working class. CBO/JCT CONFIRM THAT OBAMACARE IS A $1 TRILLION TAX HIKE | House Committee on Ways & Means Amazing, but not surprising, that Big Government is the best friend that Big Business ever had, while the lowly working class taxpayer gets an even bigger bill with nothing to show for it.

So I am guessing you support a single payer system or something like the VA and Tricare has with government hospitals. You never know where you will find a socialist. Dig far enough under a conservative and you will find a socialist dependent on Govt benefits and supporting govt health care including hospitals and clinics or at the minimum a Govt Option.

What a lot of nonsense. The ACA addressed a lot of problems. If you ever had a pre-existing condition that precluded you from health insurance or were self-employed and couldn't get insurance you would know how big an issue that was. If you were poor and couldn't afford health insurance you know how big an issue expanded Medicaid is. I personally know three people aside from myself who have greatly benefited from the ACA. It's not perfect, but to claim it has done nothing to improve any of the problems pre-ACA is just a bunch of phony partisan rhetoric.

The sheriff could have purchased health insurance and paid his own medical bills instead of standing on the street corner with a tin cup begging for others to pay his way. But ideological purity was more important to him, and look where it got him.
