People who go to the emergency room for non emergent problems should expect a long wait. Emergencies will be taken before non emergencies. If you go to an ER that is a trauma center, you could wait all day or night.

A few things:
1. I don't care how you interpret it. You took issue with it, I corrected you. There are long waits at Houston ERs, bottom line.
2. In the article, people who actually provide medical care give their opinion on how best to handle the situation (cover more people).
3. I'm going to go with the opinions of those people, who I am certain know what they're talking about, over a random internet right winger who denied the Houston ER problems until I linked to a news story proving it.
4. There is nothing you could say or do to convince me at this point that you have the slightest idea about what you're talking about on any subject, ever.

They can if they don't have room/staff to handle the overflow. BTW, that happens in Houston. More reading for you.
ERs are crowded in any community larger than Bug Tussle TN!!! Why should Houston be any different.
