where exactly did they live in Germany?
and what profession were they in?
Given how many uninformed voters there are today, in the age of internet where information is readily available, it's not at all surprising that some German citizens would be misinformed as to the exact nature of Hitler's plan.

Well, this country has had issues with race riots, murder, and drug use going further back then 1967. Look up Red Summer of 1919. Look up Prohibition.

There is one important difference. The media isn't what it used to be.

Consider this. It was discovered that the late John F. Kennedy cheated on his wife with several women. He had an affair with Marilyn Monroe. I don't recall much in the media about this.

Lets go back even further. When Ike Turner was a little boy, an adult female used to have sex with him. He called it "having fun". A woman having sex with a child. Pedophilia.

Now, back to the Kennedy case. When Former President Clinton was caught in his scandal with Monica Lewinsky, it was all over the news. To this day it isn't forgotten.

As far as I know, President Obama is a family man. He loves his wife and daughters. He is also a hated man. There are many who don't like his politics. There are also those who despise having a Black man as our President. If President Obama ever got into a cheating scandal, it would be much worse than with Clinton. If he cheats with someone such as Katie Holmes, Carrie Underwood, of Taylor Swift(please remember she's 25), well, let's just say it would make Monicagate look like a joke.

Thanks to the way the media works today, no privacy, and news get around quickly.

Morality is subjective, not objective. So this question is impossible to answer.

Be more specific, and I'll try to come up with an answer. Your question is too vague.

And why did you choose 1967?
Correct. Only people have morals.

But if the OP is asking about morals in regards to government the American government has never been moral. Fact is no government on earth has ever been moral and for real filth and corruption one needs to go back to the 1870's and 1880's to see how real corruption worked in America.

And how does it all compare to race riots, murder and drug use in 2005 - today

Actually, there were more people dying in those days on the occasion race riots took place. During Prohibition, cities were experiencing some very high murder rates. Sacramento had a higher murder rate in 1926 than it does now. Jacksonville,FL was the murder capital of the USA in 1926. Not today.

The only difference between today and back then is the reversal of who is attacking who. Other than that, same problems.

If you had an option of "before 1955" I would have said he!! yes! Unfortunately, the '60's brought us the worst immorality America had ever seen and it has never been stopped.

It depends on what you might call moral and immoral. There were plenty of immoral things going on before 1955, but were not really thought of as such.

By the way, the Beatnik era was in the 1950s. Were there no immoral things going on then?
