Key Obama ally joins Clinton presidential effort

Longtime Obama campaign guru Jim Messina is now in Hillary Clinton's corner. I ran across this recently in the book Double Down Game: Game Change 2012 about the 2012 prez campaign, by liberal authors Halperin and Heilemann.

Quote:
[Messina] was forty-one years old, pale-skinned, rapid-talking, and profane...he had earned a reputation as a genially ruthless fixer.... In 2002, while running [Max] Baucus's reelection effort, Messina okayed a notorious ad insinuating that his boss's opponent was gay; in 2010 he served as Obama's point man on the repeal of "don't ask, don't tell." Messina saw no conflict between these episodes. He was all about winning.

Just another case of "more dirty politics".

Shows you that 2016 is shaping up to be another "bash the other guy and don't talk about my platform" kind of campaign.

no comment from the legions of CD libs who constantly claim to abhor homophobia. And claim to be so more much tolerant than thee. What a surprise.

If they can't find some "Christian" to lay the blame on and generalize to that religion, they're uninterested.

It's much worse than that. Lucifer himself is coming up personally, to manage her campaign.

I can't say I'm surprised. The guy probably doesn't give a single toss about LGBT issues. Politics at its finest. Play dirty, play to win, forget collateral damage.

It's something that happen way back in 02 during a political campaign. It's somewhat boring, sorry to break your heart that no one really cares. You'll get over it.

Nah, it's not that they don't care about something from 13 years ago. Just a week or two ago liberals were obsessed with Scott Walkers college days (circa 1990). Or mention Lee Atwater's 'Southern Strategy' and lib ears will perk up. That's good for a 10 page thread. No, this is something else...it's called studious avoidance.

They don't want to admit, not even to themselves, that both Obama and Hillary hired a guy who deals in homophobia. In effect, the liberal response to this thread is to clap their ears and say "La La La--can't hear you."
