Make a thread about the OU not enforcing their code of conduct equitably as this one is about a group of students who violated OU's code of conduct.

Two wrongs dont make a right, you argument is absurd. What black power did is irrelevant to the fact these students violated a code of conduct they agreed too.

If you believe that applies in this case, the Black Power fist student should similarly be expelled. He committed his racist act ON CAMPUS, while the racist frat boys committed their act on a privately chartered bus on the way to a private social event.

If you were required to waive those rights in order to have your case tried in court, you can damn well bet they'd be unconstitutional.

That would fall under a time/place/manner restriction. How does that apply to kids on a bus miles away from any classroom?

No one forced these students to go to OU, they willingly attended OU.

The student at OU didn't advocate killing Whites. Shabazz is irrelevant.

Code of Conduct applies to the student not the place they are at.

Students singing a song about lynching is irrelevant unless they've actually lynched anyone.

That only applies is you find the Black Power fist threatening. For many people, it's empowering.
