If he said this on the job, I'd be ok with him being fired. But he wasn't on the job, it appears as though he was at home off the clock.
I'm fearful of a society that would say you can't have a job ever due to something you said on your own private time.

I agree. This is a very slippery slope and it is easy to see the path linking political correctness to employment. It is one of the reasons I choose to stay anonymous on line in forums like this and refuse to have a face book account, etc.

Absolutely, when Isee some of these idiots engaging in political debates on their Facebook account I have to scratch my head. They are severely limiting their potential job prospects for the future, no matter which side of an issue they are on. But I suppose if they are living on the dole anyways they have nothing to lose.

Our County Sheriff is about as progressive as it gets and he is elected by a democrat majority in this county.
It would seem that liberals actually have a greater propensity to defend a racist than do conservatives.
