I swear, several Congressional Republicans are gonna have strokes if Obama doesn't hurry up and leave office. He might need to do it now as a gesture of mercy before we'll need a couple of hundred special elections to replace all the infirmed or dead congressmen.

Boehner is definitely an apoplexy candidate as illustrated in this link.

Boehner must have been out in arid, rainless and sunny California. Perhaps that's where he got his orange suntan.

The weeper of the house should do his part and head to California, every tear drop will help.

DD, this article doesn't show why he thinks that the drought is man-made. Do you have anything on that? I'd need to see why he thinks that before deciding he's lost it.

I'm neither Dem or GOP but I have to say lately when Boehner says something I wonder if his ego has taken over. He blames the Dems for everything...maybe, just maybe we should stop the blame game and DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!!!!

I think that the issue is the lack of reservoir construction in California. Of course I don't understand what one would use to fill them with.

I have no idea...

However, I thought he lost it a long time ago.

Boehner is EXTREMELY frustrated and under tremendous pressure because despite having this huge majority and making promises to the base that he had the numbers to steamroll Obama...especially if the electorate gave him a Republican controlled Senate to work with...he's got NOTHING to show for it. His promises were too grand and raised expectations too high. Now his underlings have to run again next year, and they can't take anything tangible back to their constituents to prove their worth.

Of course, the Republicans will still hold the House, but THIS TIME, his Speakership is tenuous at best. I can't see them reappointing him as Speaker again, and that's too precipitous a fall for him to go back to being just another hack in the party leadership.

He's on a short leash, and his Speakership is on life support. Lotta Young Turks want to take him down and put in some real fire-breathing conservatives in the leadership.

So I expect him to sound even crazier than usual over the next year as he tries to enhance his conservative bonafides so he can stay Speaker while his losses will continue to mount.

He's finding out just how hard it is to circumnavigate the power of the executive branch. He should've known better than to make silly promises that he couldn't keep.
