So how many people did Obamacare really convert to the Democrat party? I bet the majority of those people were already Democrats because of other government programs.

Also, isn't 11.7 million falling waaaay short of pre-Obamacare projections. Think about it. The entire healthcare system in the US was turned on its head to accommodate 11.7 million people or 4% of the population. There are 318.9 million people in the US. They could have come up with something for the 11.7 million and left the other 302 million people alone.

"The Obama administration said Tuesday that 11.7 million Americans now have private health insurance through federal and state marketplaces, with 86 percent of them receiving financial assistance from the federal government to help pay premiums."

What a shock! I wonder if government assistance correlates to voting patterns.

I voted for Obama twice now and for the first time I get 100% free healthcare because of Obamacare. I wish he could run for a third time as I would love to vote for him again!

Not a fan of the ACA here, and anxiously awaiting an alternative that makes HC affordable to all income levels. If we can not achieve that those 11.7 mil will be getting it free anyways by either qualifying for medicaid or getting treated in the ER and never paying the bill. Either way it costs the rest of us in the end.

The other alternative of course is you get sick, can't afford the care you die. That is putting it bluntly and accurately.

Here's a good example.

Is anyone shocked by these figures? with out the subsidies HC insurance offered on the exchange would be unaffordable.

Conservative posters {I am one} love to bring up that 50% of workers make $10 or less an hour and 75% make less then 35,000 to prove that the Obama economy is not that good. Then is the next breath they spout how everyone should pay for their own HC insurance. The facts are with out the subsidies the poor are priced out of HC insurance by no fault of their own.

Case in point, I picked a plan that had the right amount of coverage for a person of my age. It is a good plan and is on par with the coverage my sister has purchased out side the exchange. My subsidy is $457 a month and on my end I pay $87. My budget allows me to pay 187 a month on HC which is used for co pays and paying down bills that the insurance did not cover.

I can barely afford Obamacare like millions of others, I know, I know I should get a 2nd job or go to college etc ,etc. Between work and home life I have enough on my plate and most people would not want to be me. The point is how do conservatives knowing that 75% of the country is not making squat expect people to buy HC insurance that is not affordable with out subsidies?

Your healthcare is not free. It's paid by others, myself included.

Free to you - at someone else's expense. What else do you get for "free"???

"Free"?????

The above is a prime example of the deterioration of the US and a rejection of self sufficiency for government dependence.
