It's observation and there are examples everywhere. Anyone older than 12 can see it. Sorry to burst your bubble.

What's a Christian Democrat? I don't think I've met one.

You should get out more.

There are many, including myself, on this forum and in the real world.

As for the OP's faulty thesis, no, for the simple reason that there are many on the left that ARE Christian Democrats, again, as I am, and I am nowhere near embracing the GOP for any reason.

I'm sorry you supply nothing factual.

I believe you're confusing those who oppose any religion's dogma being made the basis of US law & policy with the those incorrectly deemed as being 'anti-(ant religion)'.

My family is full of Christian Democrats/Liberals. My sister married a rightwing Christian--great guy and we all love him--but it makes for fun and interesting conversations on holidays.

How do you know this?
I don't know what the percentage is.

I will say that it's a Christian organization which gets a majority of their financial support from churches (you can go to their website and read about them if you want).

Sorry, but most people who attend church tend to be conservative.

Try this experiment if you will. Go to a conservative event and say that you'd like to have a group prayer. Next, go to a liberal event and say that you'd like to have a group prayer.

Heck, go to Huffington Post, find a story and then post that you'd like to "pray to God to help these people" and check out some of the responses you'll get.

How exactly is the Republican Party "pro Christian?" They don't exactly seem to represent Christian values these days.

I could go on. The left represents Christian values quite well, even the atheists on the left often do. Which is more important? People saying they represent christian values, or people actually acting on christian values?
Uh, no. Advocating that the government take more taxes from rich people and spend them on the poor is not representing Christian values. Sorry about that.

I can talk about how much of Bill Gates' money should be taken away and given to someone else all I want but that does not make me a better person.

It's especially true given the "blacks/poor/disabled people are voting against their own interests if they vote Republican" stance that so many liberals take. It clearly indicates that the wealth redistribution they advocate is expected to be paid for with votes. It's not simple charity.
