Cripes! Some folks have truly been brainwashed into thinking only blacks were treated ****ty. I hear this often from younger college educated subordinates at work[always women, guys don't care]
African Americans have to defend the celebration of black history month or anything "African", yet, why do the Irish in America get their "Irish" day so widely accepted? Whatever happened to just being "American"...when it comes to the Irish.
Ahhhh....again the pattern seems to be selfish. Only respect histories and events that you can personally gain from.
Or maybe people just like green beer. Or maybe people just like beer. Beer has an amazing history. It's over 6000 years old and one of the oldest continuously enjoyed beverages in the World.

Because St. Patricks' Day is really just a fun holiday where people eat green stuff and drink green beer for a day.
Black History Month is a whole month (pbviously) filled with fundamentally politically-charged discussion that stirs up disagreement, guilt, misunderstanding, etc.
So it is obvious to see how the latter is going to be much more conflict-prone than the former.
Well the Irish are not constantly complaining about this and that done to their ancestors 3 or 4 or more generations removed and we see the bros. on the tv news committing most of crime and still wanting more freebies without contributing jack so there it is. Then of course is reinterpreting the past to make themselves feel good. Black Athena you there? King Tut-Bro you there? etc.etc. Maybe them long dead Confederates were right all along. Devil's Children and all that stuff.
