My opinion is that there is nothing wrong with having a differing opinion as long as you are generally consistent in your thinking and ideology.

What I despise the most is posters who ignore logic and rule of law and introduce blatant partisanship and emotions.

Prime example: There are no limits on free speech. Except against {insert minority here}.

Example: Voting is a constitutional right and any attempt to introduce integrity is racially motivated. On the other hand, the Second Amendment is just a stupid piece of paper and guns are evil.

I could do this all day.

I well recall one poster (long gone) who adamantly insisted this he or she was an expert on monetary matters since he or she worked in a bank. Looking at this person's past postings, I found that said person worked as a janitor in a bank. When asked about that, said poster said that he 'talked' to a lot of the bankers, hence his or her knowledge.

Such is how I view many of the more dedicated posters who claim to have long experience, detailed knowledge, etc., of virtually every subject under the Sun. A computer and access to Wikipedia can go a long way here, it seems.
Did you get any stock tips from the guy?

LOL, I remember one Obamabot saying she would love to do Obama and then talked about all she would do to him.

You ever catch any of those straws you're grasping at?
Jeepers, you knew of the term; you CORRECTED the poster who used knuckle-dragger.

What straws are you talking about? I think you just caught them all with a mighty grasp!

Not to mention the plot by the oil companies to discredit global warming science.

Never said I didn't know of the term; said I didn't USE them......and I don't. They are both ugly.

I see.

Not sure if I'm right, but I thought the OP was shocked about all the name-calling and hyperbole. Some, no MOST of the name-calling is extremely vile and, at least in my case, automatically negates any idea or opinion that poster has to put out there.

When someone starts a post with "...filthy Oblama..." or "...what did Mooshel do now..." or some other such garbage, the rest of it is just not worth reading.

Oil companies are only political insofar as they need power to make more money, not because they have ideological beliefs they're trying to force forward. Your comment is off-topic.

So, your mention of socialist conspiracies by skeptics is on topic, but his observation about oil company conspiracies by AGW alarmists such as yourself is off topic. LOL.

Seriously, you should read what you type before you post.
