Going to Synagogue a few times a year does not make one religious. Having a Bar/Bat Mitva is pretty much cultural at this point. Having one is seen by many Jews as a tradition rather than a religious requirement as they didn't exist before 600 years ago.

I actually thought you were smarter than this. It's no longer called ACORN, but it never went away.
How can you not know that? Oh well.

There has been no time in history that the losers of multiple wars gets to dictate what the winners need to give up. Where is the short list Israel has asked for, but never materialized from them? If the Palestinian leadership (which is currently under two different groups) want a state, then they all need to grow up and negotiate where everyone gains something and everyone loses something OR fight it out themselves without any intervention by any other country.
As I posted (with links) in another thread ..... even the Arab League and major Arab Nations understand that the TeamObama & Kerry led 'peace negotiations' are DEAD. They are fully aware that the Palestinians have to come together (Hamas & PA) before there can be ANY decision or even negotiation about a 2 State Solution. Hamas/Gaza is one State, PA (West Bank) is a 2nd State and Israel is the 3rd State .... in this mythical 2 State Solution. Netanyahu stated the reality of "it's not going to happen any time soon". The Major Arab Nations agree with him - President Stompy-Foot is using this as an excuse to promote his childish feud with Prime Minister Netanyahu ...... and the Parrots obediently Nod their heads like little Nodder dolls.

Here's the bad news folks - Obama is going to have to climb down off that limb he's crawled out on...... embarrassing himself and the USA once again. The Sunni Arab Nations won't support his antics and they will probably reel in Abbas. The Iran Issue is huge for all of them - not just Israel. I don't think France will support him and it's a sure thing that he is going to have a major problem with Congress. Political Democrats are already worried - there is a lot of Jewish Campaign CASH out there and it's NOT going to go to any Politician that tosses the entire Nation of Israel under the bus because Obama is in a major meltdown snit.

This is Politics and Foreign Policy 101. None of these folks are willing to give up their National Security just so Obama can get his DEAL and what he mysteriously believes will be his Grand Legacy.

Most likely -- until the old white racists are all dead.

"Wow, Republicans are just old white racists. How did you ever come up with that stunningly original insight?"
Just listening to y'all day in and day out. I can't remember the last week that went by when some Republican somewhere didn't say something racist. Rudy Giuliani is the most prominent recent example, but before him we had one of Aaron Schock's aides, Steve Scalise (the third-ranking House Republican), Cliven Bundy, etc., etc., etc. ...

Why is Detroit a liberal paradise? I mean, cutting taxes regardless of the budgetary consequences is a longstanding conservative policy objective, so the connection is pretty obvious. But what about Detroit is particularly liberal? A large black population?

Well, you're right -- the evidence is voluminous. So I'll start out with this poll/study in which 79% of Republicans (not all 50 million) expressed explicit racial prejudice (compared with 32% of Democrats).

Here's another poll demonstrating that the older and more conservative you are, the less likely you are to approve of interracial marriage.

Your turn.

They used a "experimental test" to test for racism. So take those numbers with a huge MOE, on top of statistical MOE there could be a large error caused by a badly designed test.

The ones that go to synagogue and support Israel in a serious way are not first and foremost devoted to the leftist ideology or the Democratic party at all. If you believe otherwise, you misunderstand the primacy of their priorities.

Sorry, but you are wrong. I live in a community with a very large population of jewish democrats. We have 4 synagogues and they are building another. Funny, how some think you can't be religious because you are a democrat. Are you jewish?

Sure, but that doesn't explain why every test designed to measure racism finds it most prevalent among older conservatives/Republicans. Here's another one: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...012900642.html

Money quote:

"If anyone in Washington is skeptical about these findings, they are in denial," [Professor Krosnick] said. "We have 50 years of evidence that racial prejudice predicts voting. Republicans are supported by whites with prejudice against blacks. If people say, 'This takes me aback,' they are ignoring a huge volume of research."

Does Netanyahu have pics of you conservatives in compromising positions or something?

My goodness! Israel is a nothing country on the other side of the world from us, but you act as if America's very survival rides on whether or not we're beloved by Benjamin Netanyahu. It's simply astounding. It's almost like some sort of weird cult or religion that I've never seen before. SMH

Do you folks spend every waking hour figuring out new ways to praise Israel and Netanyahu.

Geez...making threads about Netanyahu being the second coming of Reagan? Unbelievable.

My views on Obama's mishandling of policy are here (link). He is living in an alternate reality.

Barack Obama lives in a childlike world. It doesn’t bother him that he’s ridden elevators with armed men. It doesn’t bother him that people with knives have mounted the White House fence and gotten into the East Room. It’s only a problem for him when the press finds out. He believes he can just call the nursery school teacher in to engage the Iranians, ISIS, Hamas, or anyone else out to kill us. Our real enemies, in his view, are the ones who stand up to bullies, such as Israel or Ukraine, since they “just make problems.” They iruin the fairy-tale world where all people live “happily ever after” and sing Kumbaya at the end of the show.

This childlike simplicity wouldn’t be a problem except it hurts the country and the world. He is busy dealing with the following:
  1. Non-problems such as climate change;
  2. Inviting into our country, out of “compassion” children without their parents in tow, who don’t speak a word of English, to be raised and educated on some hapless localities’ dime;
  3. Apologizing for the U.S.’s depredations in trying to remain a free country; and
  4. Precipitously withdrawing from Iraq and Afghanistan, in order to be “liked” by his buddies at world confabs
He imagines a world where everyone, including Israel and the U.S. is bound by the World Court, Geneva Convention and Kyoto protocols. Not to mention Law of the Sea. He’s manufacturing executive orders to hamstring our industries in the name of stopping “climate change” while China eats our lunch. Oh, need I mention, while China is getting ready to beat the “beejesus” out of Hong Kong residents used to British tutelage and British constitutional monarchy, with the rule of law.

He lectures Israel about failing to protect civilians sufficiently in Protective Edge. Has he asked Hamas what steps they’ve taken to protect civilians? And he has created “rules of engagement” requiring our troops to fight with both hands tied behind their backs in order to absolutely minimize civilian casualties. Has he ever asked if ISIS is so constrained? The Geneva convention forbids the execution of POWs. Yet they executed hundreds of Iraqi soldiers (link to article); “Islamic State militants killed up to 770 captured Iraqi soldiers after they captured a former US military base in Tikrit back in June, a new report by Human Rights Watch (HRW) said on Wednesday.” Obama is busy forming dainty coalitions since he needs “consensus.” Someone should ask him, at a press conference, if he is so fastidious when going around Congress with his executive orders. I guess fairness and consensus applies only when surrendering to our enemies.

Obama truly lives in a childlike world of his own creation. That is fine; but I want a realist and an adult as our President.
