Don't be surprised when America enacts hate crime laws that punish you for hate speech like they do in the UK and France.
I doubt it. However, often people misinterpret what "Freedom of Speech" means. If you are behaving badly in the office, your boss has right to fire you. If you are in a store or restaurant and use racial slurs, that store has every right to ask you to leave and call the police if you refuse.
I doubt if anyone is in a Federal prison serving time for using offensive language. If that were true, all the Obama haters would be in prison now.
