Congress delay vote on approval of a deal, appeal to the Iranian people for an agreement.

Quote:
Washington (CNN)Congress is giving President Barack Obama some breathing room on nuclear talks with Iran, while Obama is appealing directly to Iranians to support a deal facing a deadline at the end of the month.

After weeks of contentious maneuvering by the Senate and the White House over a bill that would force the administration to submit any deal to a congressional vote, senators pushing the measure said Thursday they would wait an additional three weeks before bringing the legislation to the floor.
.................................
In his message, Obama appealed specifically to
younger Iranians, saying "a nuclear deal now can help open the door to a
brighter future for you — the Iranian people, who, as heirs to a great
civilization, have so much to give to the world."

And he stressed the urgency on the issue,
declaring that "this moment may not come again soon."

Under pressure from Senate Democrats, of course. Whatever happens, Congress still needs to vote on this "deal," which is really no deal at all for America. This is a foolish move by Obama, and everybody knows it. It virtually guarantees Iran will have a nuclear bomb in a very short time; not what anybody (but Obama) wants. There is NO justification for allowing Iran keep even one centrifuge, let alone 6,000.

They get to vote on the removal of sanctions as it stands right now, they want to also vote on the deal but that is the purpose of the legislation being proposed.

Why is this a bad deal, how does this guarantee a nuclear bomb and will they not be able to head in that direction anyway lacking an agreement.

You believe the mad mullahs will honor an agreement signed by an infidel?

Does head in butt mean anything to you?

"Iran's Supreme leader Ali Khamenei called for “Death to America†on Saturday,........

Khamenei told a crowd in Tehran that Iran would not capitulate to Western demands. When the crowd started shouting, “Death to America,†the ayatollah responded: “Of course yes, death to America, because America is the original source of this pressure."

"facing a deadline" will be treated by Obama the SAME way he drew the "red line in the sand".

Yes, they probably would. Even the CIA under Bush reported that while the Iranians were acting against our interest in the region they are rational actors. And as a rational actor were highly unlikely to endanger their own security by confronting the US or our allies.

I think a lot of the opposition from Republicans comes the fear that any deal could succeed. They've done the calculus and there's no way they could stomach a potential legacy that includes a non-threatening Iran, much less a thawing of relations. Plus, their best buddies back in Saudi and the gulf states (the ones who are actually funding ISIS and Al-Qaida) are not going to quietly sit back and see a pivot to the infidel Persian Shias.

The young Iranians would be wise to look askance at anything a politician tells them they must do now and quickly.

The wise would first try to understand who Obama is trying to negotiate with, how they think, what they believe.

Muslims should engage in Taqiyya and lie to non-Muslims to advance Islam.
Muslim are permitted under certain circumstances, taqiyya and kitman. These circumstances are typically those that advance the cause Islam in some cases by gaining the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them.

Bukhari (84:64-65) - Ali confirms that lying is permissible in order to deceive an "enemy."

Bukhari (49:857) - "He who makes peace between the people by inventing good information or saying good things, is not a liar." Lying is permitted[/color] when the end justifies the means.
