"The gold we found was at the level of a minimal mineral deposit," said Kathleen Smith, of the US Geological Survey, after her team discovered metals such as platinum, silver and gold in treated waste.

I can picture why this is happening though. We all consume minute amounts of metals through various channels. Perhaps a tiny amount of gold is absorbed through the skin of those who wear jewelry??? We are also ingesting unusual amounts of aluminum as well, probably from cans.
