It has nothing to do with "advocating" anything. There is no use in discussing anything with someone who does this to demonize those who acknowledge for good or bad that the Constitution protects hateful speech.

We'll have to agree to disagree about that. Some people will say anything to rationalize the offensive behaviors they want to engage in.

It is your choice to refuse to exercise your Catholicism faithfully, if you wish. That's the beauty of the First Amendment.

Why is this a slam on Christianity? Islam and the Orthodox Jewish Movement also prohibit same-sex marriage. Remember the Muslim-owned bakery in Dearborn, MI that also declined to bake a wedding cake for a same-sex marriage? Where's the uproar? Have they been drummed out of business? Are they receiving hate email and death threats?

Because they are not me and because controversy is necessary. I said earlier that the baker brought the condemnation on himself. If it was up to me, I would have made them the best damn cake ever made, so showing righteousness, that God makes it rain on the good and the bad. But then there would have been no controversy.

Why? Who believes that Orthodox Jews or Muslims are inferior to Christians? And why would they believe that?
