I cross the border into Mexico and travel across Southern Arizona and California on a regular basis. I encounter the Border Patrol frequently and I've yet to see any examples of this "Border Patrol Gestapo" that people are talking about. You drive through their checkpoints, smile, they wave you through and you go on about your business. I've never seen it as a problem.
As I said, some people just resent authority and puff up their chests to show how tough they are. They suffer from a victim mentality, IMO.

They aren't on the border. They are 100 miles inland.
If I find that a LE person is violating my rights (but I never have) I would report them to their bosses. I wouldn't openly challenge them and create a scene over it.
Like most other things in this country, it's all ass-backwards. We need a constitutional convention to insert a punishment for government officials who violate the constitution.
I vote Harry Reid, for obstruction and blatant lies on the Senate floor.
