screams of 'racism' got him a heart that could have gone to someone else. looks like he didn't 'turn his life around' after all
The thing is, some other troubled teen out there, who needs a transplant, might be able to turn his life around, and messed up kids like Stokes, make it more difficult for every other troubled teen.

So the prog-activists community picked a non-compliant thug to support.
said thug got a second chance because hey we all deserve a second chance....
except the utterly compliant dead person who would have gotten that heart had their not been a prog-activist community demanding a second chance that it turns out was never going to live of to the second chance.
long live the dead guy.... prog-activism at its typical

Still. Do you want to go down the slippery slope of who is more worthy of a transplant? From a medical perspective, I'm ok with that. From a subjective "who behaves better" perspective, that's rather scary.

Who behaves better shows who would most likely have a succeful transplant by following doctors orders, taking prescribed medications, etc.
If donor organs were plentiful; everyone should get them. They are not plentiful, however. That is why non discriminatory computer systems are put into place that match organs with people that have the highest chance of success.

Yes and wealthy kid with unlimited resources might have a better success rate with a kid whose parents have to work and can't afford 24 hour care for him while he recovers from surgery. I'm just asking if that's the road we want to go down?

Your hypothetical is not realistic. Anyone who gets a transplant gets the immediate around the clock care in the hospital. Once released they don't need as much care.
Why someone would use social justice as a mechanism for organ transplants is beyond me.
As a family member of an organ donor, I'm upset the powers that be bowed to "civil rights activists" and gave a heart to this criminal instead of following the rules required of organ recipients. What happened to the next person who needed and deserved this heart unjustly received by this man?
It is a horrible time to make the decision to donate a loved ones organs because you are losing a loved one and stories like this may discourage people from making that decision. The one we made.

I think parents will use whatever they have to get a transplant. Look at the parents of the child who had cystic fibrosis and needed a lung transplant. They used whatever they could (people hating government) to pretty much get doctors to ignore well thought out protocols.
