I had to check to make sure this was not an April Fools leftover, but evidently it is for real. The National Association of Nigerian Prostitutes (NANP) is offering three days of free sex as promised after Muhammadu Buhari defeated incumbent Goodluck Jonathan.
The group hopes to leverage this into some form of legalization, and it could be a brilliant stratagem. What better way to turn out the low-info male vote?
Good luck to them. In my experience prostitution prohibition just becomes a vehicle for police corruption, mischief, and malice. For whatever reason, this aspect of police work seems to attract the slimiest, sickest LEO's. And no, I've never been arrested, much less convicted of any prostitution-related activity, but I've seen it first hand with friends I used to know. If it's like this in the US, I hate to think what it's like in the Third World.
mental note: Be in Nigeria for this guy's re-election party.
Addendum to Veneficus's mental note: Make sure to triple wrap it.
