OP---Correct me if I'm wrong but you are Puerto Rican, correct? If so, then YOU should have no one in your extended family who is here illegally.

If you support amnesty, then you are throwing unskilled Puerto Rican workers under the bus as illegals undermine American citizen workers.

Why should either party be pandering to lawbreakers? That said, while the majority of illegals are of Hispanic descent, in the past, ICE has deported illegals back to 189 different countries. Should both parties be pandering to Americans with promises of amnesty whose ancestry traces back to all those countries? For example, there are thousands of illegal Irish in this country? Should both parties be pandering to Irish-Americans with promises of amnesty?

Amnesty is reward for being a criminal. Wait in line!

Puerto Ricans should know better, they feel the same way for the illegals from Dominican Republic that are in Puerto Rico. It lowers the wages and standards for low education and unskilled latinos who are here LEGALLY or Latinos that are U.S. Citizens.....You think the illegals are going to compete for the jobs in the upper middle class and upper class? NO. They will hurt the lower class which includes a large % of the African-American and Latino communities across the nation.

the Democrat party don't get it, they want amnesty for illegals then later complain why the wages for unskilled Americans are low and unemployment is high in the African-American and Latino community then they blame white privilege for the situation and play the class warfare and race card.

and their solution for the low income Americans who are affected by illegal immigration is more welfare for your votes and the majority buys into that and wonder why they can't get off the welfare system generation after generation.

If I could rep you again, I would

I'm half Puerto Rican and I am against amnesty and so are my extended family members who have worked for ICE, Border Patrol, and Customs plus served in the military.

The plan, OP..surely you jest. It is going to take some many more electoral trips to the woodshed, ala 2008 and 2012, before the GOP learns their lesson.

Well we are not going to win 40% of the Hispanic vote by telling them that we are going to deport half their family so what is our plan?

Ahora es el momento por Jeb Bush ... we have no other options.
Economics>immigration for most Hispanics.

The ones who have been here for two or three generations are often not fond of the illegals either.

They are not some monolithic entity. Get out and talk to some someday. They're as diverse as anyone else.

And **** Jeb Bush.

BHAAAAA!!!! its been close to 28 years since a party won the WH 3 times in a row....good luck!

Republicans can still lose the WH in 2016 and still control most of the government branches of the nation in the house, senate, Supreme Court and the majority of the governorships and state legislatures...31 states to 18 states, OUCH!!!! talk about woodshed!

In the new demographic USA, past data is out the door. The GOP will hold lots of state chambers, but not the big prize..the oval office.

I prefer the Gino Auriemma way..play for the title..nothing else is a successful year. In politics, the Presidency of the USA is the title.is

Latinos, which made up 8.4 percent of votes in the 2012 election, are seen as
critical to Republican success
Yes, absolutely. Republicans must get on board with the plan to put millions more Latinos on a path to citizenship. Only by increasing the size of this overwhelmingly Democratic voting block can the GOP succeed in the future.
