He's an idiot because a bill that passed both chambers by 71% combined majority made it his desk for passage? Every Republican in the House and Senate said yea to a bill that ended up on the Republican governor's desk, and he's an idiot for signing it?
No, he is an idiot because anyone with two brain cells should have seen the reaction a mile away.
I would suggest if baking ans selling pizza is against their beliefs then they should find a new line of work.
And I would suggest that if you really MUST have pizza at your gay wedding, then you would do well to find a pizzaria that is not owned by Christain's with a religious objection to gay marriage and give them your business.
........It's not like there is a shortage of pizzarias.
It is not necessary to tear others down to lift yourself up.
So you don't think the Yelp, Twitter or Google reviews were bullying or intimidation? Who are you to say what people feel threatened by?
There is a difference between saying "your policy on not catering a gay wedding (even though you don't do catering) disturbs" and "Shame on you, you worthless pieces of human waste".
People can visit Yelp & Google to see all the fake reviews being posted and decide for themselves if the posts are threatening, intimidating and bullying.
Some were, a lot were just trolls making jokes. I don't support the deference that is expected of religious belief in this Country, nor do I support unequal anti discrimination laws. That being said, I have an issue when people are punished for simply speaking their mind. One should not be threatened or put out of business for speaking of a hypothetical situation that likely will never occur.

This isn't about hating or bashing gays. Its about people or a business having a right not to serve gay weddings. Not, not serving gay people, not providing a service for a gay wedding. All this, mostly media driven uproar over nothing. Making it out to be bigger than it is. Everyone is acting like its a right to say, no gays in my shop. Which is not the case
Exactly. A business owner cannot discriminate based on sexual orientation, which Memories Pizza hasn't done, but they DO have the First Amendment right to exercise their religion by refusing to play a participatory role (provide goods and/or services) in a same-sex wedding ceremony if their religion prohibits same-sex marriage.
Too many brain dead people posting garbage in this thread.

As long as the state doesn't have an anti discrimination law that says otherwise you mean.

Isn't if funny. The "fix" Indiana Republicans are about overwhelmingly support is basically identical to the language Indiana Democrats wanted to add to the bill to prevent it from allowing anti-gay discrimination when they realized that's exactly what Republican intended for the bill to do.
Back then the Republicans unanimously rejected the "fixing" language. Funny that they and the Governor now support it.

Nope. A state law cannot trump a Constitutional right.
