The world has changed many times over the years, countries at war become reasonable, even GB is our best ally. Iran was our enemy and Iraq was our friend then it reversed, maybe it will go full circle. Imagine someone stating in 1980 that the US and Russia would have joint ventures into space and other areas, this will take time but a step in the right direction.

It doesn't matter what the deal is- Obama & Kerry made the deal, therefore Republicans won't ratify it. Period.

Doesn't matter if it's good for our country, good for the world... none of that matters. All that matters is their political calculation. If they ratify this, it will make Obama look effective. So they won't.

If ya'll have any doubts... check out all the Republicans criticizing it without having ever seen the deal. Some vowing to oppose it before negotiations even STARTED:

I hope you are right.

No deal was needed.

This is the absolute truth. If there was chance to save the world but Obama would look good in the process I have no doubt the Republicans would let the world end. That's how insanely juvenile they are. How did we get saddled with these asses?

I'm reading where Iran is now accusing the White House with lying about what is in the deal (I should provide a link but I'm poor at that on my phone).

Seems the odds are with the White House ruining any sort of deal. Not that anyone would be surprised about the Obama administration lying.

Maybe this will be his lie of the year, third year running?

So what we are saying in essence is that we are agreeing to fund nuclear weapons development for a country that is currently sponsoring terrorism, has killed American citizens, has promised the genocide of an entire nation and is lead by a bunch of bat-chit crazy, superstition old fools wailing for their 12th Imam. OK...somehow that doesn't seem very smart.

Why don't we give a nuke to Fred Phelps while we're at it?

Do you think Obama is Shia? Or Suni?
