Most likely this will be the case of a conservative family, why should we care?

Another irony is that many of those same pro choice people are against the death penalty and also against KFC for killing chickens.
So, its morally wrong to kill a crazy murder-rapist? But, its none of our business if babies are aborted?
Abortion isn't really the subject. The subject: Is a legal 17 yr old having sex and getting pregnant. If her family steps and feeds and clothes the child......what are we talking about a young girl of marrying age having sex? I see the OP can't answer this either!

Seems this is bash the 17 yr old girl of a Christian family for doing what comes natural at 17!

a 17 year old having a baby is still a bad idea even if her family can help her. she still most likely will not finish her education or get a higher education where she would be able to get a degree and a better job in life. most lower and middle class families are struggling themselves and can not help or can help so little that the kid and the baby go on welfare, you can't seriously think a 17 year old having a baby is a good idea for anyone, even the baby.

btw what is a "legal" 17 year old. isn't the age 18 to be considered legal?

the op is not bashing a christian family for a kid getting pregnant, it is about the unrealistic idea that abstinence only education can prevent pregnancy

ref to bolded

What would you say to a 17 year old that had a baby at 17, went on to get her GED and her bachelors degree and a well paying job. That person did what, the impossible? Or achieved a less likely?

Choices are for the individual to make, not for society to make for them.

Life experiences teach us, where government officials fail.

yes one in every so many hundreds/thousands manages to continue their education and go on to lead a life where they don't struggle. however that is not the norm and you know it. most will end up on welfare.
