All of this REQUIRES the ability to "MOVE" - and, without transportation in the 21st century, it is unlikely that most would survive
I do not have medical care, and its not a NEED.. I'm still living just fine. Perhapse to me, people demanding free medical care from others is nothing more then greed and to me, its those wanting, or demanding FREE anything is greed.

Apparently some folks are never satisfied.
If someone has earned "too much", what do you care if it isn't enough for them?

Because they want a piece of it to by doing nothing and asking the government to take it... wow, sounds a lot like communism... wasn't that the enemy back then? I guess the apple doesn't fall very far... now I understand why we hated communism in the earlier years... I didn't realize it had deeper meanings than pure human rights activism... personal responsibility... heh, doesn't that beat all...

No, but it would be the height of human stupidity to eat only steak and hunt the animals who make up the steak into extinction, just because you only WANT to eat steak and refuse to eat something else.

It's my money, I earned it, I worked 60-80 hours per week for 20+ years to get, eat and buy whatever I want and when I want it. I am not rich but I can buy almost anything I have a desire to have, now so some think that is greedy, well... I feel sorry for you.
Land of the free, your free to earn a good living and buy what you want and when you want it, when someone wants to take that away then we are not longer free.
I don't like soup and I am not going to eat it, I prefer a big fat juicy steak or BBQ ribs on my table. If that is what I want all one has to do is do a thing called WORK FOR IT !

Believing that you are entitled to everything you want simply because you wanted it and worked for it does not prevent drug abuse.
Or child abuse.
Or any other stupid and / or evil act.

The thing is that individual wants often are not good for the human race as a whole.

It looks like this can get get closed down to...

The general consensus seems to be "There's no such thing as greed".

Thank you for those who actually answered my question regarding taxes as a discouragement to work. I don't know that I agree, but I appreciate hearing situations where people feel it in fact would discourage further achievement.
