Obviously this is another example of a cop fearing for his life. Who knows, the guy could have kicked up some stone, while running away, that could have struck and killed the officer.

I will give it to SC though....when they do these things the officers get arrested.

Cop is being charged with murder. As he most likely should be. Couple things though.

Why do some folks continue to resist and get in scuffles with cops? Clearly something was happening between the two, something went flying and then the guy ran. Cop did not have to shoot him, obviously. Do I personally feel horrible for the dead guy? No. Sorry, but you dont resist arrest and then run. That is just stupid. But the cop will get what's coming to him.

Maybe its just me, but it seems a small portion of the video is cut out. Not sure if it would change anything but itd be nice to see all of it if there is more.

Thank god for the citizen's video. If not the cop would have gotten away with murder.

Only part I have trouble with is yet another. The others were found to be justified. If we judge by that standard then a lot of people are murders of those two police officers in NY.

Yea,,,,so what? He's being charged with murder,,fair enough but if it wasn't on video the story would of been different. NO doubt about that......
It is utterly ridiculous that police try to deny the public the right to video any incident......In fact they should be fired immediately if proven that they tried to restrict that right........That should be a federal law...
And look I like the police in my county,,they're my son, my cousin and my neighbour..That kind of police bullying doesn't happen around here and shouldn't happen anywhere....It helps good cops and hurts bad cops,,,that's fair enough....

Police need to shoot to stop and not shoot to kill. If he had shot him in the legs he would have gone down.

Too many cops shoot to kill..............when shoot to stop was best..........
We had a 76 year old woman shot with a taser in our town a couple or three years ago.

That is one dumb ass that won't be fouling up the gene pool anymore. Doesn't look good for the cop either.

Sad but true. The guy obviously was an idiot. What the hell was he running for in the first place? And what went flying before he ran?

Cop was clearly in the wrong but the guy who was killed was a friggin idiot.

Yeah this shooting stinks. No justification at all.
