It saddens me to see one of my favorite places on earth Lake Tahoe suffer from such an extreme drought as most of California is. Governor Brown has put tight water conservations in. If the drought continue will it effect the liberal state by moving it left or right?

Probably neither, as liberalism and dependency is now entrenched in the fabric of CA.

Liberal policy has helped to precipitate this crisis-

1. open door immigration has increased the population burden on the state

2. lack of dam construction and water conservation due to liberal "environmental" opposition

3. expansion of pot farming, which is very water intensive

4. massive expenditures of state revenues for pensions and social benefits that could have been used for water infrastructure development

Let's just hope that all of the liberals do not leave CA and infect the rest of the US like a plague of locusts.

I was wondering if the drought might cause some to rethink those postions

Right... liberalism caused the ****ing drought crisis.

You guys just don't give up...

Again, the solution is simple. The largest body of water on Planet Earth borders California's entire coastline. Use it.

Nothing will change. It is draught theater over here now. A bunch of busy body politicians positioning themselves to look like they are doing someone without actually addressing the systemic problem.

Instead of building dams for water storage they are not allowing dinning establishments to bring you water unless you ask. Instead of dealing with agriculture industry that uses 90% of the clean water in the state the governor wants to fine people for taking too long of a shower.

There is a drought. There is no water to dam.
Liberals are against water conservation?

They did when they prevent water storage from being built and developed when the population of the state has nearly doubled in 50 years.

We are not in a perpetual drought, the goal of a dam is to save water in wet years for dry years. It is a cycle. If we start building dams now, they might even be ready for the next wet cycle. But this is california, will probably be ready for the wet cycle after the next one.
