So is it ok to now charge different amounts based on ones race?
Would it be ok for a restraunt to charge white $5 for a burger and black people $30 for the same burger? Or the inverse of everyone having to pay the same price but white people get a 80% discount?
Obviously the above example is illegal, what is different about the track?
Not quite, in modern liberal America it's only ok if you charge whites more than everyone else, anything else is racist.

Wonder what they'd charge someone like Obama? Half price?
And who get to be the arbiter of what constitutes "black"?
What about wannabes?
I mean, if someone who is obviously white as a sheet self identifies as black, could they sue for discrimination if they don't get the discount?
Maybe they should pro-rate the discount so Obama would pay half price but Mariah Cary would get like 25% off?
Not a bright idea.....its racism plain and simple. So lets try to get blacks involved in racing ( I have no idea why they don't care for it) and alienate 90% of your clients which happen to be white...good idea!
It's reparations for slavery!
Why are you such a bigot denying black people their rightful claim to reparations?
The only problem is how this is being handled. Targeted advertising would have been much better although not mentioning race. As an example my daily newspaper will often have a sticker for a discount on it that only applies to my neighborhood. Promoters could have local stores pass out the free tickets to any customers again targeting anyone in the local community which would be predominantly black.

And that would be discrimination if you only handed them to Blacks and not everyone else.
