Not a bright idea.....its racism plain and simple. So lets try to get blacks involved in racing ( I have no idea why they don't care for it) and alienate 90% of your clients which happen to be white...good idea!
True. It's a dumb idea.

What he doesn't get is that the lack of black fans has more to do with the sport than anything else.

As a fanatical race fan (Formula One and to a lesser degree, IndyCar), his particular brand of racing is lame and kinda hickish. It's Hayseed racing at its finest. Might as well go to a tractor pull or go bob for apples at the fair. What's next...tackling pigs in the mud contest? The Redneck games (and races) hold no appeal to most black folks.

So really...he should just drop this idea.

NASCAR is pathetic as a racing circuit. But my two youngest brothers love it for some weird reason.

My father raised us as fanatical F1 fans and Indy car fans. After that, I don't know how anyone can watch NASCAR.

My dad called it "NECKCAR," and STILL belittles it with that term.

It's truly sad that we all don't like the same stuff isn't it? Maybe there should be a law?

I don't care if it's hick-ish, just that it's become very boring.

There is no longer anything "stock" about stock car racing, so the costs associated with fielding a team along with saftey rules like restrictor plates mean that the same guys win way too often.

Best way to take a nap on a Sunday is to sit down with a beer and watch the race....zzzzzz

Well sorry to be different, but I think ANY discrimination is wrong. By that I mean different prices for different people. Senior discounts IMHO are discriminatory, as are kids free.

No gays, no guns, no colored, free for some, it is all discrimination.

He is black.

I would rather stay home and clean out my garage than go see a NASCAR race.

I'm Black and you couldn't pay me to go to a Nascar event.

I have a few Black friends who tailgate Nascar events and said they had fun..

but when I asked if they go to the race they were like "hell nah"
