No, there's no such thing as 'nurture the economy,' and even if there was it would have nothing to do w/ gender. 11 34.38%
No, a female prez would not be able to 'nurture the economy,' but US voters are dumb enough to fall for this kind of malarky. 20 62.50%

Women Senate Hopefuls Focus on Economy - latimes

I remember this line from US Senator Carol Moseley Braun, who was the first black US Senator from the Democratic Party (Barack Obama was the second).

Quote:
Carol Moseley Braun of Illinois said because women manage household finances, women "can do a better job of managing this nation's finances, do better with managing the economy and putting people back to work. . . . Women can nurture this economy and this country back to health."
Other than her brief foray into the world of commodities trading, Hillary Clinton has never seemed very interested in economics. She worked as a lawyer, and as Senator from NY her main focus seemed to be foreign policy. Then she went on to become Secretary of State.

Now running for prez, she'll have to come up with some kind of vision regarding the economy. Could recycling an old line from Carol Moseley Braun work for her?

Nope. Makes no sense. She will have advisers and her husband to help with the economic issues. Note her hubby got way too Libertarian for my taste when President.

I think a female president would be OK but not Hillary, she is a career politician and a crooked one at that.

I had heard that Time magazine did an article on her and suggested that she would be a good president because she is post menopausal. WOW imagine a Republican saying that. Then again a younger woman... Iran and N Korea better not mess around when Auntie Flo comes for a visit.

As long as we get a conservative back in the White House, no one is going to care if it's a man or a woman.

Braun's comment is a bit ridiculous. Some women are better than men at balancing a household budget, others aren't. Not to mention that a household is quite different than the federal government. I doubt Clinton will use this tactic, but nothing would surprise me.
