I would have preferred her over Obama too. However, it seems respect and civility is a thing of the past.
I think respect and civility died a horrible death long ago. Remember how over-the-top Reagan, Bush Sr and George W haters were? It's gotten progressively worse for the most part, though the haters set a pretty high standard in their assault of George W. W was not the brightest man and I disagree with many things that he did, but he was not the monster so many made him out to be. He was also compared to a monkey way way way more often than Obama, which is kind of ironic considering the typical racist use of the word monkey.
Civility has been dead for decades. We may never see it again.
Took longer than usual for tha talking points to catch up.
I see we are going with the "evil right wing media machine"
Surprised you didn't mention talk radio and Rush.
Well??? When you have a party that spent 7 years with a policy of "I'm against whatever that guy is for" then perhaps you should stop repeating the sames and focus on better candidates.

True. It just seems to be a lot worse or maybe the internet has gotten much worse in that aspect. Bush Jr certainly deserved a lot of criticism but the vitriol was pretty bad. I never thought he was a monster and he seemed like a cool dude but was just merely a pawn in the grand scheme of things. However, it's much worse since the 2008 election.
The monkey thing with Bush Jr is because is actually resembles one a little bit and the perceived lacked of intelligence.

What do you mean "we" Kimosabe? Did you read the article that the OP linked? This is where the quote came from. I did not create it. You know I did not write the WP article, right?

You can write as many words as you want about Hillary but she is just not "likeable" and I don't trust her at all. ....
4/5ths of the US Population doesn't trust her. Too bad many of the 310 million, don't vote, because the other person the media serves up on a silver platter is just as bad. Socialist, Communist, Progressivism... The lesser of two evils, since 1880. Welcome to the fruits of the 21st Century.

The last 7 years we have seen a lot of a party based on everything is bush's fault, never any solutions, never any ownership of the situation.

I see this all the time, like when people think the president controls our spending, or is responsible for our economy. One of the few things presidents ARE responsible for is the use of our military. Even that is limited though.
Blaming Obama or Bush for many things is simply insane. And yet.....here we are. Congress and the Senate need to step up and act like adults.
