Don't rule Christie out yet. You know what they all said about Obama too. How did that work out for them.

Well, you have a good point. Obama was elected because he is half black. Maybe Christie will get elected because he is fat.

You are making this about race. After 8 years of a republican....a democrat was sure to win. And after 8 years of a democrat a republican should win next time although I'm not so sure.

I expect that could be very interesting indeed. If Colorado has done a good job of ensuring that all marijuana sold in Colorado is grown in Colorado, then Colorado has a very strong chance of winning that fight. The Federal Government's Constitutionally granted power is to regulate interstate commerce. It does not not have the right to control commerce that never crosses state lines.

No worries though, we will get one of the republicans in who have stated repeatedly that they will resume the war on pot!
Look up the penalty in Nevada (Reid) if caught with MJ.......hint: your better off getting caught with Cocaine.

Christie said crackdown on dealers, not smokers, didn't he, isn't there a difference?

I am all for no pot entering the USA, via Mexico!

As if anyone needed another reason to dislike New Jersey, the state’s governor, Chris Christie, a likely Republican presidential candidate, just said if he were president he’d crack down on legalized marijuana. On the Hugh Hewitt Show, Christie was asked if he’d enforce the drug laws in Colorado and Washington, which Hewitt said were “flaunting federal law by allowing people to sell dope legally.” Christie said he’d “crack down and not permit it.” Hewitt was ready to move on but Christie had more to say:

CC: Marijuana is a gateway drug. We have an enormous addiction problem in this country. And we need to send very clear leadership from the White House on down through the federal law enforcement. Marijuana is an illegal drug under federal law. And the states should not be permitted to sell it and profit from it.

Ok, I guess the truth does hurt!
