When the dingbats in DC realize they need a new revenue source bad enough... And they needed one decades ago. So probably within the next decade. I'd say 6-8 years.

Actually, if they legalize it and tax it, we become more like Britain. Amazing, how many are willing to be taxed and told to get a medical card, or will they issue a new card for recreational users??
No effort for legalization will succeed when you have people declaring how great ganja is.
I am for legalization of marijuana. I fail to see how a natural plant is as evil as some idiot politicians believe it is. The medical benefits can be life-saving for those who need it. Allowing it for recreational use is just a nice benefit for those who want to take a toke after a long day at work, and don't want to drink.

True. The idiot in the White House today is a leader of the war on drugs. Even though he toked when he was younger, he favors locking up people who use marijuana.
Indiana will be the last state to legalize it...I need to move out West!
Not to Oklahoma. People there think it's even scarier for a person to get high on marijuana than getting drunk and driving the wrong way on the Interstate.

Uh, opiates and cocaine are also derived from "natural" plants, along with mushrooms, peyote, kava root, morning glory, salvia, etc, etc.
Pot will be kept illegal federally across the US, because there is too much money in it. If it is legalized, all the money goes away.
