There is a difference between passing an amnesty thru congress than doing it by EO with 23 million Americans out of work and granting them temporary stays of deportation with work permits as Obama has done. Today we have at least quadruple the number of illegal aliens we had when Reagan "and" congress passed an amnesty and he lived to regret it because the border wasn't secured as promised. As for Bush, law abiding Americans shut down the phone lines to congress in objection to his proposed amnesty and he backed off.
