It's sad that he's a Republican. But really not all that unique- people vote against their own interests all the time. Look at my fellow rednecks for instance- they all vote for the interests of the same billionaires who are slowly putting them into third-world conditions.

Not necessarily. Jenner has money and pays taxes so I'm assuming he's voting his own interests.
That argument about voting against their own interests is a talking point DEMS use for folks that fall out of line
Conservative ideals would say that you have a right to your own privacy and selections in that regard, but if you try to start requesting "special" treatment because of being trans then it becomes an issue.
Here locally we had transgenders wanting to use any bathroom they wanted, but conservatives blocked it over concerns that regular pervert men could just go into the womens bathroom claiming to be trans and watch people.
