Those tweets are pretty disgusting and intolerant, no matter WHO tweeted. I mean it is not like he said he is a Nazi. Yeah he wants to be an old woman, perhaps has always been a Republican, so what?
The 'so what' is that most Republicans are openly hostile to him having rights as a transsexual. The fact that he can live openly is totally IN SPITE of the efforts of social conservatives.
This may not be true of California Republicans- but I'm telling you... he would be shunned and quite possibly attacked in lots of impoverished Red States.

However, this case isnt even in that realm as none of those people identified their ideology, there are plenty of so called libertarians in this thread who claim to disavow republicans just as much as Dems. Why is it not possible that they posted those ????

that is because we usually find that the school shooters were in fact either democrats or just plain crazy, but i repeat myself. and usually we have to dig into such a persons background to defend conservatives after you liberals try to pin the actions of said shooters on conservatives without having ANY facts what so ever.

Doesn't matter, I do not know him personally so I cannot answer this question for you. Though based on his actions on this topic, I would guess it is a change in principle.
My life experiences have not lead me to believe that a change in a core principal while in your 50's to be the more likely of the two outcomes.
