So she basically did a Ferguson because after people got upset at the heavy hand approach police did and chief made them stop, they just stood by and watched the looting as well.

And rather than stop it before it started they took the "Stand back. Let them loot" approach.

And by Monday 3pm you had "Lord of the Flies" with 13-15 year olds running around looting, pillaging and burning the town down.
Madam Mayor got on the TV and reminded them of curfew because it was a school night.

Guess it could have been anticipated, martial law declared and the reigns could have been handed over to the military, when Freddie died.

Martial law ?

She could have called the Governor Sun morning and had the National Guard called in.
But she didn't.

The Governor put the Guard on stand by on Saturday anticipating her call.

Martial law wasn't declared even when the Guard deployed. They were, technically, working in concert with BPD. Had there been a declaration then the Guard would have been in charge directing operations.

General Singh made that clear Monday.

Again they knew it was going to happen so she could have had more people called in. Tough calls is why tax payers give them money
Seems to me the folk who attended the game and peaceful protesters were protected.

In hindsight, Martial Law could have been declared and the reigns turned over to the military, the day Freddie died. Not sure there is any precedent for calling in the National Guard in anticipation of mayhem.

I would rather see the entire city burned to the ground than see the military called on under martial law.

The problem is with the government having too much power and control over people.
