The MSM, in particular CNN, is doing everything they can to whip up the emotions of the savages doing the burning and rioting. Death and destruction is GOOD for news, it increases revenue. Stories about black professionals, doctors, engineers, business owners, heck, that's not bloody. No one watches that or will riot over it. But when one black criminal dies, fan the flames of the criminal class and watch the fires. They are no better than the animals they are covering-bottom feeders of the worst sort. Much like the Al Sharptons and Eric Holders of the world.

The 1st thing that the media needs to do is recognize that the violence in Baltimore Riots had nothing to do with the Freddie Gray death.

The problem is not so much the amount of coverage but the type of coverage that CNN and the other Cable networks are doing.

What I mean is that instead of doing some hard reporting and telling us the facts, they have turned the riots into hours long programs to fill their commercial time slots. By hard reporting I mean they could be for instance reporting:
-- how many black people were killed by police officers in the last 10 years
-- how many non-black people were killed by police officers in the last 10 years
-- what are the percentage of those who were killed compared to the total population

If the media (not to mention the White House) would actually do its educational job then we could see how much difference race possibly plays in police brutality cases. But at the same time we would also see that police killing is relatively rare, most cops are not going around killing people.

They could also cover how many of those businesses, cars and homes destroyed by the animals are owned by black people. Or interview the residents about how the destruction is effecting them. Or talk to some of the blacks that are hard working professionals and don't support the mindless animals in the criminal class. But no, that doesn't make for entertaining TV. Pander to the idiots, whip up emotions about "police brutality" and watch it burn. That makes more $$.

The rioters themselves are responsible. Society has contributed by how we deal with it - or don't. The media is guilty of stirring the pot.

The manner in which the media reports these isolated incidents of police brutality on blacks is why these incidents grow so violent. Every time, the media assumes the cops had no justification for killing, they suggest the suspect was not a threat (unarmed does not mean they're not a threat), they run with that angle (because they know racism sells) and it directly incites riots, vandalism and looting. Cops have been targeted and murdered as retribution for these unfortunate deaths.

The media is absolutely at fault for helping turn protests into riots and need to share some responsibility for the violence they're fueling.

African Americans rioted, looted, engaged in criminal destruction like this before there was a CNN.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watts_riots

So no, it's not CNN's fault.

It's actually hard to understand our media. Plenty of white people are killed at the hands of blacks, and police. And there are enough stupid-azzed white people that could be whipped up to act just as stupidly as some of the blacks in Baltimore or Ferguson. Violence and destruction still sells. I have to wonder if CNN and some others aren't just racists, and TRY to bring out the worst of the most ignorant blacks, while not doing so with ignorant whites.

You mean like in Ferguson where you had a thug attack a cop while trying to get his gun and then being shot as he decides it's round 2?

The media exist to manipulate the public. Violence isn't increasing, REPORTS on violence are increasing.
