So we are told that the left is going to dominate American politics. The left gets elected every time. Even southern states will be democratic leaning in the future.

But, we don't see that many liberals happy on these discussion boards. There are more race riots in America today. The low skill labor force is about to be redundant. Higher education is under enormous pressure by economics and technology. The democrats are embracing the TPP and the republicans stand behind them. Problems that haunted black America have become prevalent in working class white populations. High skill workers fight against h1bs but the nation needs the best and the brightest.

The left is winning. The left is losing. What's happening?

It has been. But liberals have long made celebratory argument that they are winning, that the demographics will be on their side. New immigrants and minorities will reject conservatism and usher in a new era of progressivism. In fact some made the point that there was also cross section support among race gender and sexual orientation. That racial monorities also stand in solidarity with lgbtq people.

"We are told that the left is going to dominate American politics."

By using the future tense adverb "going" you have indicated by definition that winning hasn't taken place but may take place sometime in the future. So it's rather difficult to lose today, that which you may win in the future.

I would further suggest that the list of losings, are not a failure of the left, but problems that will in the future lead to the left victory that you have alluded to, although these are not left issues but very American ones despite the vitriol that dismisses these problems and which up until very recently loudly proclaimed as not being the problems of government in the first place.

Favoring the left:

Young people, thanks to their idealism and lack of experience, and thanks to: the schools, both public and private; the colleges and universities; the liberal mainstream media; Hollywood and popular culture -- all dominated by the left.

Able-bodied people dependent on government for basic necessities; non-whites; women; sexual minorities

Recent immigrants, legal and illegal

Unions

Government employees

Should be a slam dunk for the left.

But then, look at the policies of the left: excusing crime and bad behavior (as in Ferguson and Baltimore), dividing people on the basis of race, gender and class, refusing to protect the jobs and wages of American citizens against a flood of cheap labor in the form of new immigrants (both legal and illegal), refusing to protect the American worker from offshoring of jobs, throwing money at problems instead of solving them.

The deciding factor in all elections is "how well off am I under the current regime." When the answer to that question under either political party is negative, that party loses.

The Democrats can literally buy the votes of minorities by supporting generous welfare programs. But that only works for as long as they can raise taxes, and they seem to be having a problem doing that.

Last, but not least, is how people feel the country is going. This might be the clincher. We have our first black president, and just look at all the racial unrest that has been taking place lately. It doesn't bode well for the Democrats, does it? And even people who have drunk the Obama kool-aid must be getting a little tired of the Speechmaker in Chief by now. Maybe it's time to send the choirboy home and have an adult wearing big boy pants run things for awhile.

In short anyone with a brain and the ability to think creatively.

If you don't depend on government, who should one depend on, American corporations? Seems to me that the "job creators" are more than happy to counting their money than creating jobs at least jobs here in the U.S. The fact is, Job Creators are the people who buy stuff, and if you don't pay the average worker enough to buy stuff, the demand for stuff (demand creates jobs not suppliers) fewer jobs are created.

Funny, liberals serving on juries, as prosecutors, and judges send folks who commit crimes to jail every day of the week. What liberals do is to come up with answers to why such crimes are committed or bad behaviors exhibited instead of relying on tired, unproven, and made up bromides. (See brains and ability to think creatively)

dividing people on the basis of race, gender and class,
That is the most ridiculous argument that I've heard in 60 years! This country has and is divided by race, gender and class for more that 200 years. Only the deluded, blissfully ignorant, or just plain wantonly obtuse would argue that before 2008 we were one big happy family devoid of racial, class and sexual inequality and discrimination.

Liberals? Who has declared an all out war on unions? What states are the first to act like offshore countries promising the world to companies if they destroy good paying jobs only to later find that they can't race to the bottom faster than Indonesia, China, or the Philippines?

What's the starting date of the comparison... 2008 perhaps?!? Obviously the OP things that in 2007 the economy was a remake of the Roaring 20's (well at least the last two years of the 20's).

What "generous" Welfare programs might these be? Point to the changes in TANF, the generous increases in benefits, what new "government give aways" promised or delivered? And please spare me Obamacare that in fact shifted medical care out for the poor out of the emergency room and into doctors offices!

If you're over sixty years old and believe this tripe, there's nothing much I can do to help you.

Really? I do not hear these "predictions" on a regular basis.

I do not see many happy Cons either, is that an indicator of what happens when one whines for over six years straight or is it an indicator of some fundamental flaw in the Con physic? The riots were do to Police wrong, real or perceived. No it is not, the people here now have been here for many years, false flag outrage. Ummm it is Cons that have cut funds to education, nothing the Dems did had any effect good or bad. Yes, both sides embrace TPP, they are both owned by the same people, this is news? Really, what problems are haunting whites? Then you do not cut education, you fix it and the best and brightest will be Americans.
Not winning and not losing, neither are the Repubs, it is America that is losing due to the inability of both Libs and Cons to do their JOB.

Mmmkay...

I'm glad to take advice from someone who talks about "Con physic," "riots do to Police wrong," and "false flag outrage," complete with a lecture on the need to throw more money at education.
