Well said all without having to resort to "rape" and "torture" to make a point.

I don't see any hiding behind your own hypocrisy either.

So tell me. If caging a huge sea mammal whose natural range is thousands of nautical miles in a swimming pool isn't torture, what is it?

Well, that's about as callous as you can get. At least you're honest.

Should you ever be kidnapped and locked into a single room for the rest of your life, I'm sure that flip remark will comfort you for the rest of your unnaturally short days.

We're not talking about domesticated animals raised for food. I do believe food animal should be raised in as humane conditions as possible but I know there are real world consequences for that. Mainly less affordable food. I'm talking about cruelty to animals for entertainment and profit. Can you really not see the difference?

What's the difference between owning a cat or a dog an caging a sea mammal?

Cruelty to animals for entertainment? You just described owning a pet.

If your house is 300 miles of open ocean, then yes, it is torture to live in a tank barely big enough to turn around in. Try living in your smallest closet for a month and then come out and tell us all about how great it is.
