I don't see any reason to act incredulous about these claims. They seem pretty reasonable, even probable imo.
Other people also found it reasonable when it was falsely claimed that Gray had a previous spine injury or that the other person in the van said Gray was purposefully trying to hurt himself. Both ended up being false.

Plus, Gray didn't have pot or heroin on him when he was arrested, did he?

How do we know Gray didn't purposely hurt himself? Banging his head against the walls isn't the same as lopping off his own head. My view is that there are lot's of plausible things that could have happened, but until we know the facts, it's all just theoretical. Same as all the people who raced in to say the cops can't act as judge, jury and executioner, then said the police obviously murdered Gray and they need to fry. Apparently the irony of them playing judge, jury and executioner was lost on them.

I agree to an extent. Everyone is just working on what is more or less likely. But there is precedence for severe injuries due to rough rides: Undue force - Sun Investigates - The Baltimore Sun. Has anyone caused a self-inflicted spine injury of that kind while riding in a police van as Gray did?
Freddie could have been in an earlier altercation during the day, where he had a fight and fractured his neck or backbone. All it took was a "rough ride" to snap his neck..
I also knew a man (security guard) who broke his foot and did not know it, kept walking on it. Turns out he had diabetes and the nerves in his foot were damaged and he could not feel the pain of his broken foot. As a result, he was in a wheelchair for a long time....

Oh good lord. My grandmother broke her neck and didn't know it. And?
Do I understand correctly that black people destroyed their own city because a black person was arrested and, while in the custody of black officers, he sustained a mortal injury? That strikes me as the definition of complete stupidity.
What about protesting against police brutality do you not understand? Your above post would be like asking why white people protested against Taxed Enough Already against other white people when white people were the ones who raised taxes.

So, more white people are killed by police than black people.
From the beginning of this, it was "Black Live Matter" now when it's found out that 3 of the cops were black, now it's about police brutality...
Really, this is getting as bad as the Occupy Wall Street...they protest, until they realize they were wrong, then it's the overall factor, not what they first thought...

What happened in Baltimore was not a protest. It was rampant vandalism and criminal activity. It was primarily people with black coloured skin once again presuming that whatever happened to Mr Gray was a result of racism, and once again presuming that the best course of action was to destroy other people's property. It's absurd, and extreme stupidity.
