Why do gay people give away their power to religious organizations that want to discriminate against them?

I say to the two gay Dads: "Find another church who will respect you."

There are plenty of other congregations and denominations out there.

Actually, it IS surprising that this would happen in an Episcopal church.
It is very odd considering that church officially is open to gays, lesbians and TGs they even have Gay Bishops. Very odd

From their own site:
"To our lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender brothers and sisters: “The Episcopal Church welcomes you!”

Very, very hard to believe. This is a child, and they turned 'Him' away from Christ. Never mind the parents.
I know it's a long trip, but bring him to St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Charleston, S. C. He will "not" be turned away.
"All" people are welcome. Do you think for once that Christ would turn him away, even his parents?
This is absurd.

I assume people choose their churches and spiritual leaders bc they trust their judgment.
Lastly, I would also assume that whether or not the dads are gay, the Christians are supposed to want to save the innocent by baptizing babies (or else purgatory for an innocent babe).

All is forgiven if you donate enough money to the diocese, the parish, and the catholic high school.

I believe that different churches can do whatever the hell they want. They should just go elsewhere, as we did.

I foresee a lawsuit against that church to force respect and tolerance, from intolerant people forcing their lifestyles on to others.

I was turned away from a church for marriage because I was divorced.

It didn't make the news.

I feel bad for the child.. He will not have a mother , just two dads. Not the same as a traditional marriage. Nothing like the love of a mother for a child.
