So wait... you think Islamists were actually perfectly okay with the situation in Palestine, didn't really care about the military bases in Saudi Arabia, and were fine with the crippling sanctions and war in Iraq... and this whole thing is simply because of religious hysteria?
Is he lying about it to trick people into thinking that Muslims actually care about each other? Or because America is pure and good and righteous in everything it does, and he just doesn't want to admit that he's insane and wants to destroy a nation with infinitely superior firepower, technology, global support, financial resources only because Allah wants it to be so?

What does living in the Middle East have to do with knowing what the Islamists wanted? Living in a geographical region has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not you understand the motives of Islamic terrorists, unless you personally were talking to Islamists, people who knew them or people who had studied them extensively. An uninformed local is just as useless as an uninformed foreigner in terms of understanding the issues.
Bin Laden has been interested/supportive of the Palestinian cause since the 80s, and his support intensified in the 90s after the Gulf War. It wasn't his SOLE reason, but it was definitely one of them... and later, it became his main focus.

This isn't accurate. If a Muslim is living in a non-Muslim land and has a treaty with the non-Muslims that secure his or her right to practice their religion then it is haraam (forbidden) to deceive or harm the non-Muslims there.

Why is there a longstanding history of Yoruba, Voodoo/Hoodoo and Santeria in the USA among black people, but there is not a long standing history of Islam? Because the slaves who were brought to the Americas were not Muslim. They were captured and sold by South West African tribal kings, and sold in to slaver. Islam only existed in Africa in North Africa, above the Sahara desert. Sub-saharan Africa has no history of Islam! The Africans of sub-saharan African practiced many different religions that were based on Animism. They brought their African religions with them -- Yoruba is a major one, which has also been practiced in the South for centuries as Voodoo and Santeria (Saint worship) Islam only become popular with blacks in the 1960's with the Black Panther movement that taught blacks to adopt any other religion besides "the white man's religion", around the time that Kwanzaa was invented by a black university professor. The majority of slaves brought to the Americas are from West Africa (South West, as in South of the Sahara desert) West African religions are and always have been Animistic! Google this if you don't believe me. West Africa has never had a history of being Islamic. The Sahara desert has acted as a natural deterrent for centuries in keeping the cultures separated, not to mention the thick jungles of the Congo were not exactly inviting to the Muslims of the desert.
Islam has not been in the USA since the early 1900's, and only in very, very small percentages. The 1967 immigration act that allowed more immigrants to come here was the beginning of the Islam invasion that we have now.
