It's about the West and their meddling. We created countries out of thin air without regards to cultural values after WWI and WWII, we topple and create governments that serve our energy needs in the Middle East, and we kept the Middle East in mostly poverty.

You have generations of males born into poverty in war torn countries who live next door to people they don't like (Shiite vs Sunni), extremism is very powerful propaganda. We reap what we sow.

Agree!

With each President that we vote in with HIS own agenda, the mess is impossible to fix.

WW1 and 2? The lines and boundries of the middle east have changed with every invasion and every war though out history. This is nothing new. Sunnis and Shias have been at war for 1400 years. They take a break every so often to battle Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhist and every other people they come in contact with.

I don't believe in the old testament because it represents an unloving and unforgiving god. In fact, he was pretty evil. And no I don't feel inferior to my parents who are my creators

Islam is evil and at it's heart it's tenets are completely opposed to Western Civilization. That being said we need to rethink our strategy in how we deal with radical Islam. Invading their nations is not working and is counterproductive. The best strategy is just to leave them alone and let those idiots massacre each other. If they come at us then we can hunt them down and wipe them off the face of the planet.

America is a anomaly in human history. Soon the World will revert back to the normality that was the World pre America.

America is not slumbering. America is dead.

Islam isn't evil, people are evil. But you are right about the strategy. There will always be terrorists. We can't invade every country to try and wipe them out. It just doesn't work like that. We should have never invaded Iraq. Just leave them alone unless they are on our soil.

I was referring to the context of modern times.

Again, in the context of modern times it is the West influencing their policies and governments. We have US bases in their homelands..... Do you not realize the reaction that would happen if a foreign nation put a military base in a NATO country or G20 country? We are the invaders, have been militarily, economically, and politically since WWI (in modern times).

Yep and in between they have some of the most advanced and culturally important civilizations are their respective eras, much like Christianity and the West. The issue is religion itself and timing, not what god you kneel to.
