I can't speak for all Libertarians, but I as one of them see dog fighting as a violent act. Not to mention quite inhumane! At any rate, given that it is a violent act, I tend to adhere to the Libertarian principle of non-aggression, meaning that use of force should be the last resort, and ONLY used in self-defense or defense of your family!
Exploring Libertarian viewpoints 'animal abuse' is the first problem most seem to have with Libertarians, they don't care.. This is why I have an issue with people who call themselves "open minded" and "caring" I don't see it. How is 2 dogs bleeding to death, alright for some
You actually don't come off as uncaring for life around you, you are not the Libertarian I am talking about. Are you sure this is what you are

It isn't about animals having rights, it's about humans not being degenerate.
if they dont have rights, by what authority do you ban the fighting?
Actually its about property rights. Dogs are owned and as such the owners have the right to treat them as they see fit.
Do I condone dog fighting? Uh no. In fact I prefer my domestic animals to most people.
Locking up people at gunpoint for doing what they want with their own property isn't any more civil than dog fighting
By the way and for the umpteenth time the original post has nothing to do with dog fighting.

If two or more people voluntarily want to fight to death for money and for entertainment, gladiator style. Should that be allowed?
I'm not a libertarian, but a liberal Democrat, and I say "yes."
If two adult humans, who are deemed to be of average or better intelligence, want to fight to the death, why should the government prevent that from happening?
What do you call boxing? Fighters have died in the ring many, many times.
No. Some people are too stupid to have such responsibility.
But they are somehow OK to vote?
