I know, it's amazing what some will believe, not looking beneath the surface. No, his nose was not broken and he had "pin holes" on his nose where the blood dribbled from, the scratches on his head being surface wounds. Some like to believe it due only to the bloody photos, that of course were seen during the trial as "real". There's so much more that was amazingly bypassed and many just went with what was presented as the truth, which is partly why many of us have been so incensed.

As we've seen in the most recent past, the victim gets bashed.
Now I believe Mark NeJame will be bashing George Zimmerman, show his 6 mugshots, 8 incidents post trial and that MA asked for GZ to be arrested and was told it will be hard to prove. So, it seems since MA had no help from police, he had to defend himself.
The only charge he might not be able to get out of is the firing a projectile at the vehicle. If we learned anything from Michael Dunn, one cannot do that.
In a story with such heated emotions and so many biases and lies, one must demand some type of unbiased proof in the form of a neutral jury verdict.
The proof is the fact that he's been involved in numerous incidents. Just beause he hasn't been convicted of anything doesn't erase what he''s been involved in.
TM was never arrested, there were no 'prior' offenses.
Whether he was ever arrested is unknown.
What is known is that he committed offenses which the school chose not to refer to LE. They were relatively minor in the scheme of things and Miami-Dade is on board with ending the 'school-to-prison pipeline' and lowering its own crime reports.
So, it seems since MA had no help from police, he had to defend himself.

The cops wouldn't protect him from the crazy stalking murdering rapist, living in fear became too much for MA to endure, so he defended himself by trying to kill Mr. Evil.
And if there was, they would have brought criminal charges instantly against him. They didn't. It's been claimed time & time again, as demonstrated in this topic an others, that Zimmerman's crime was racially based.

You state that the DOJ '...found no charges..', implying that they were investigating the guilt or innocence of Zimmerman. That is a lie. They investigated whether or not the act by Zimmerman was racially motivated.
I'm sure you see the distinction, right? If you say no, you are being deliberately obtuse; in other words, you are stating falsehoods.

The USA Department of Justice also found absolutely no reason to bring charges. Furthermore there were no grounds for appeal.

The DOJ was looking into whether there was a racial component to the altercation, ONLY.
They did not have an opinion on whether Zimmerman was guilty or not. That was not the purpose of the investigation.

Since neither Apperson nor Z is black, race shouldn't be an issue.
This is a generalization to address a specific issue. There are people lined up, as demonstrated here, who watch Zimmerman's every move and are just waiting to get him brought up on charges for almost any transgression. The fact that none have happened with conviction speaks volumes. As far as I know, he doesn't even have a speeding ticket.
The last line is hysterical. GZ is the only person I've heard of that gets stopped for SPEEDING, and the cop shakes his hand and makes the stop a photo OP! Have you not seen the videos? GZ is also the only person that can shoot a teen to death, and earn a free gun and tour at a gun manufacturing plant.
The only reason some of his crimes have not gone to court, is because the victims are scared to death of the Teflon man. If this monster can beat a stalking and murder rap, what chance do they have of getting him convicted for lessor crimes? There is no doubt that he hurt and stole from Shelly's dad, so why didn't he press charges? GZ has become the most protected evil being who is an average Joe, in my memory.
